The home-reading book that was assigned over the break was La nourriture qu'on mange. Please make sure that it is being practiced 4 times a day, every day, and that reference is being made to the recording on the Centre d'écoute.
The test below was assigned as a take-home test to be completed over the holidays. It is acceptable for the students to receive help from family members. I expect that all of the students will hand in their completed tests on Monday, January 6 when they arrive at school in the morning.

The following partner assignment, due January 24, involves the creation and recording of a home-reading book for use in the post-intensive term. Partners have already been assigned and students should come back to school on Monday with a clear idea of their topic, as well as which verb tense and vocabulary set they will be reinforcing.

Some upcoming French projects, which you may want to start thinking about now include:
Cooking show: choosing a recipe, writing a script and starring in a cooking show (choice partners). To prepare, you can watch French-language cooking shows like those available on:
http://www.casatv.ca/a-la-tele/al-dante-avec-stefano-faita-saison-1/videos
http://www.hervecuisine.com/recettes/entrees-classiques/
Restaurant extended role-play: learning restaurant-specific language, practicing scripted lines, preparing and printing a menu, bringing in food, dressing for the part, heating and plating dishes, serving, ordering, eating, politely complaining, complimenting, calculating the tip and paying the bill (half the class will make the restaurant for the other half and then they'll switch).
Fashion show: randomly-generated groups of 5 will dress up and commentate a live fashion show for a specific line of clothing (winter clothes/sports uniforms/summer clothes/pajamas and robes/formal wear/cultural clothing...).
Finally, the Intensive term will end on January 30. The document which will be used for the final evaluation is attached below. Be sure to think back to your goals and truly apply yourselves in this final month!
