Artist and parent Wendy Oberlander has very kindly offered to facilitate a multi-week art exploration project in the new year. Here are some pictures of our student input and planning session: IF6 students will once again be participating in an Acceptance Flash Mob at a Vancouver Giants game in February. Please feel free to click on the February 2014 archive to see the video from last year. More details will be available soon but for now we're just going to start dancing! Math: Go over math pre-test to see where you may have had difficulties and prepare to do even better on the Patterns and Algebra unit test on Tuesday. Please note that the mark on the pre-test does not inform your grade, it just tells you and me what you may need to work on and what I may need to help you with.
Français: Practice presenting your robot to your family or friends. If you can say your text without reading it, it will allow you to work on your other presentation skills, like keeping your chin up, projecting your voice, making eye contact and varying your facial expression (read: smiling!). We will film the live presentations of "Mon robot" when you do them in front of the class on Tuesday afternoon. Lecture à la maison: Read Comme moi four times a day, every day. This week, you will read for our volunteer on Wednesday. Sîte internet: Edit your site so that there is no English on the page. For example, "Home" should be changed to "Accueil" and "My Site" should be changed to "Mon sîte" or "Le sîte de Mme Mountali". Je vous souhaite tous une très bonne Action de grâces. Je vais manger de la dinde. Est-ce que tu vas manger de la dinde, du poulet ou du tofurky? Tu peux me le dire mardi. Voici 2 chansons que nous apprenons en classe:
